Adobong Puti Ingredients:

  • 1 pound pork belly, cubed
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/3 cup white vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 pieces of bay leaves
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil 

In a skillet, saute the garlic in oil over medium heat.

Add the pork meat.  Cook for 5 minutes.

Turn and cook the other side for 10 minutes.
Add the water, white vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper,


and bay leaves.

COntinue cooking until liquid has evaporated and meat starts to get brown and oily.

Coconut Macaroons Filipino Style Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Dessicated Coconut
  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 pack of small paper cups
In a bowl, mix butter and sugar until fluffy.

Add and beat the eggs one at a time.

Add the condensed milk,

vanilla,

coconut flakes,

and flour.  Mix well.

Put a teaspoonful of the coconut filling inside each small paper cup.

Bake these macaroons inside the oven at 350°F for 15 minutes.

Remove from oven when macaroons are baked and lightly brown in color.

Allow to rest on a cooling rack before serving.

Steamed Chocolate Cupcakes - Tsokolate Puto Ingredients:

1 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup evaporated milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 large egg, beaten
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
In a bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the melted butter, evaporated milk, and beaten egg.

Mix well.

In a lightly buttered cupcake mold, fill each one with the mixture.

Cover and steam for about 18 - 22 minutes.

Remove Steamed Chocolate Cupcakes from heat.

Set aside to cool.

Remove the cupcakes from the mold.

Allow to cool completely.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Serve Steamed Chocolate Cupcakes while still warm.
Serve as a snack or merienda with your favorite drink.

How To Make Filipino Chicken Sandwich Spread
Filipino Chicken Sandwich Spread Recipe Ingredients:

1 pound of chicken breast, boiled with salt and pepper then shredded
1 cup mayonnaise
1 medium onion, chopped and sauteed in 1 tsp. butter for 5 minutes
1/4 cup sweet pickle relish
In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken meat,

sauteed onions,

and sweet pickle relish.

Fold in well.

Add the mayonnaise,

Mix well with the rest of the ingredients.

Cover and chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour.

Spread on pandesal or tinapay.

Use Filipino Chicken Sandwich Spread on loaf bread as well.
Serve this tasty snack or merienda with your favorite juice drink, coffee, or tea.

Puto Flan Recipe



How To Make Puto Flan Recipe

Puto Flan Ingredients

For the Leche Flan or Custard:

1 can condensed milk
4 egg yolks

For The Puto:

1/2 cup white sugar
1/3 cup evaporated milk
1 large egg
1/2 cup water
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons butter, melted

In a bowl, combine condensed milk and egg yolks.  Whisk well.

Lightly brush some butter on each puto mold.

Place 1/3 of the leche flan mixture in the puto molds.

Cover and steam the flan for 8 minutes.

After 8 minutes, remove the flan from the steamer.
Add flour, sugar, and baking powder, melted butter, evaporated milk, water, and egg.  Mix well until smooth.

Add 3/4 of the puto mixture over the leche flan.

Cover and steam the puto flan for 10 minutes.

Remove from puto molds and serve while warm.
