How To Make Putong Puti Recipe
Putong Puti Recipe Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup coconut milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 egg
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/3 cheddar cheese for topping
In a bowl, add the 1st four dry ingredients.
Add the coconut milk, water, and egg.
Add the vanilla extract.
Mix all the ingredients well.
Pour mixture in lightly buttered puto molds.
Fill all puto molds inside the steamer.
Steam putong puti for 10 minutes.
Add slices of Cheddar cheese then steam for 1 minute until cheese melts.
Serve as a merienda, snack, or side dish for Dinuguan.
