How To Cook Bistek Manok
Chicken Bistek Ingredients:
  • 1 pound chicken pieces
  • 1 medium onion, halved - chopped, cut into rings
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 can liver spread
  • salt and pepper
In a large skillet, saute the garlic and chopped onions.

Add the chicken pieces and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side.

Turn and cook the other side.  Drain excess oil.

Mix in the water, soy sauce, and lemon.  Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.

Add the liver spread, salt and pepper to taste.
Top with onion rings then cook for 5 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.

Serve Chicken Bistek with steamed white rice.
